This moss ball is the closest thing I have to a pet in my house. Luckily, this pet requires minimal care. This moss ball only needs a water change weekly, and to have the old water gently squeezed from it before being placed in its clean water. It doesn’t do well with too much sunlight, and should be placed in an area with a bit of indirect sunlight. The ball itself is only about 1 inch in size, but appears much bigger through the glass of its bowl.

Though this moss ball is viewed like my pet, it doesn’t have a name. It does have sentimental value to me, however. It’s extremely rewarding to watch the moss stay healthy and to observe it when changing the water. Moss is my absolute favorite part of the forest and is something I search for any time I’m out on a hike. It’s so awesome to have one of my favorite parts of nature in my bedroom.
